The sports councillor, Antonio Núñez, has visited the Cerro Negro circuit alongside Jesús Bermúdez, president of the Moto Club Talavera, and representatives from the companies responsible for the recent upgrades to the facilities. The circuit is now fully prepared to host the grand final of the Spanish motocross championship.
During the visit, they assessed the results of the improvements made to ensure the circuit is in optimal condition for the competition. Key enhancements include the underground tunnel installation, clearing work, and modifications to the track through earth-moving activities, all aimed at refining the layout and preparing the venue for an event of this magnitude.
Núñez has encouraged motocross fans and the local community to attend the event at Cerro Negro, which will once again place Talavera on the national motocross calendar. The grand final will take place on 24 and 25 October, featuring a pioneering format that combines two Spanish championships across all categories in a single weekend for the first time.
Saturday will focus on the MX65, MX85, MXFemenino, MX3, and MX4 categories, while Sunday will showcase Élite-MX1, Élite-MX2, and MX125.
