successful conclusion of the 16th furniture fair in nájera

The 16th furniture fair in nájera has concluded with notable success in both attendance and sales. Approximately 40,000 people visited the event, with over 65% of attendees coming from autonomous communities such as the Basque Country, Navarra, Soria, Barcelona, Cantabria, and Burgos.

The fair was officially closed by the Minister of Industry, Innovation and Employment, Javier Erro, alongside the mayor of nájera, Marta Martínez; the president of the nájera Furniture Association, José Rodríguez; and the fair's director, Adolfo Iglesias.

All thirty exhibitors expressed their pleasant surprise at the turnout and the public's enthusiastic response in making purchases. Just hours before the fair's closure, attendance exceeded 40,000, indicating that this edition is likely to surpass last year's figures.

José Rodríguez conveyed his satisfaction with the results, noting that visitors arrived with a clear intent to buy, and exhibitors showcased a refreshed image of their products. Adolfo Iglesias highlighted the positive impact of a daily €1,000 raffle for buyers, along with promotions and discounts that helped secure more sales than in previous editions.

Natalia Espina Lara from Ormaiztegui (Guipuzcoa) won a €1,000 gift cheque in the previous day's draw. Regarding visitor demographics, around 65% came from outside La Rioja, particularly from the Basque Country and Navarra. Half of the attendees were first-time visitors, drawn by nájera's reputation as a City of Furniture, and expressed intentions to return, thanks to the quality of products and convenient access, such as the Wood Train and free parking.

According to the organisers, the typical visitor profile consists of middle-aged individuals, aged between 36 and 64, who attend with family or partners and take the opportunity to explore tourism in La Rioja.
