Manresa's civic centres unveil exhibition programme for november and december

Manresa's civic centres are set to present a dual exhibition programme for the months of November and December, honouring artist Ferran Costa while showcasing prints by Mia Perramon.

'Vol': a journey through Mia Perramon's sustainable printmaking

The exhibition by local artist Mia Perramon Serra features prints created using various techniques and collage works that illustrate her evolution from figurative to abstract art. Perramon focuses on exploring visual textures through non-toxic techniques and the philosophy of the three Rs: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. In her works, she repurposes everyday materials that would otherwise be discarded—such as Tetra Paks transformed into printing plates, nets, plastics, and cardboard—to give them new artistic life and raise awareness about environmental impact.

The exhibition will be accessible in two consecutive venues: from 9 to 27 November at the Casal de les Escodines (Monday to Friday from 9 am to 2 pm and 4 pm to 8 pm; Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm) and from 4 to 21 December at the Centre Cívic Selves i Carner (Monday to Friday from 4 pm to 9 pm).

'Ferran Costa tribute. Don't get angry!': a collective and itinerant homage

Coinciding with the first anniversary of the death of Manresa-born illustrator and artist Ferran Costa Duran, a wide network of entities, associations, art schools, friends, and admirers have collaborated, under the coordination of the Community Action Department of Manresa City Council, to create a participatory exhibition that commemorates his figure and legacy. This showcase brings together around fifty works inspired by his creative universe, produced in a 40x50 cm format and employing various techniques and disciplines, including three-dimensional options such as felt, glass, wire, and wool.

Both artists and students from plastic arts courses in Manresa have contributed to the exhibition, which will be displayed across multiple locations in the city. The official opening event will take place on Thursday, 5 November at 7 pm at the Centre Cívic Selves i Carner, marking the beginning of a tour that will extend across six venues in the city.

The exhibition will be on view from 5 to 26 November at the Centre Cívic Selves i Carner (Monday to Friday from 4 pm to 9 pm) and at the Manresa School of Art (Monday to Friday from 8 am to 8 pm). In December, the exhibition will diversify across the following spaces:
