Magalí Sare and ARSinNOVA choir present 'Descasada' at Kursaal

This Friday, 23 October, at 20:00, the Sala Gran of Kursaal will host the concert 'Descasada vol. 1', a musical journey led by Magalí Sare, accompanied by the ARSinNOVA choir. The performance explores songs from various cultures around the world, providing insight into women's experiences and the societal expectations surrounding marriage.

Magalí Sare, known for her versatile and expressive voice, creates a soundscape that intertwines ancient and contemporary stories of women striving to take control of their own destinies. The concert features a distinctly feminist lens, showcasing twelve different languages and a band of four musicians alongside the ARSinNOVA chamber choir.

Having premiered successfully at last year's Fira Mediterrània, the show returns to Kursaal after touring various venues across Catalonia and Spain. This project is the culmination of three years of research into songs from diverse origins, eras, and countries, offering both a global and personal perspective on women and marriage.

The concert aims to foster solidarity among women through the sharing of both historical and modern narratives of those fighting for autonomy over their lives.

Tickets for the concert are priced at €15, with discounts available: €12 for seniors over 65, €10 for holders of the Carnet Galliner, and €6 for those under 30. Tickets can be purchased at the Kursaal box office.
