Fuenlabrada is set to host a variety of cultural events this weekend, including the third National Photography Congress NIX, a must-attend for photography enthusiasts, and the debut of 'X Amor al Arte,' which aims to promote young designers and artisans.
The cultural programming kicks off on Friday with the presentation of the second edition of Circo Abierto, featuring the show 'MUTE… y a volar!' by the Orain Bi company. This family-friendly performance has received awards at several festivals and will take place at the Teatro Josep Carreras at 7:30 PM.
Highlights of the Weekend
On Saturday, October 3, Fuenlabrada will welcome the third edition of the National Photography Congress NIX at the Teatro Tomás y Valiente. From 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, photography enthusiasts, professionals, and hobbyists can explore new trends and techniques from some of the most prominent photographers in Spain.
Simultaneously, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, the Plaza de las Artes in Loranca will transform into an innovative urban pop-up space. Here, designers, artisans, and small brands will showcase their products as part of 'X Amor al Arte,' an initiative by the Sociocultural Youth Association Trotamundos, featuring offerings ranging from fashion design to illustration and handmade jewelry.
Sunday, October 4, is dedicated to theater. At 12:00 PM, the Teatro Aitana Sánchez Gijón will present '¡Wooow!', a whimsical tale that combines circus, magic, gestural theater, and improvisation for family enjoyment. The main attraction of the day will be 'La comedia de la olla,' a new adaptation of Plautus' classic comedy starring Carlos Sobera, set to take place at 7:00 PM at the Teatro Tomás y Valiente. This play, which premiered this summer at the International Classical Theatre Festival of Mérida, transports audiences to ancient Rome, where we meet Euclión, a widower obsessed with guarding a pot full of gold coins.
Additionally, at the same time in the Teatro Josep Carreras, Contraluz Teatro will present 'Bodas de sangre,' a powerful and emotional adaptation of Federico García Lorca's classic play.
