Carolinas Fashion Day to support Alinur with record-breaking attendance

The sixth edition of the charity event ‘Carolinas Fashion Day’ is set to take place on 24 October at the gardens of the Archaeological Museum of Alicante (MARQ), featuring a fashion show to benefit Alinur. This year, local merchants from the Pla Carolinas area are aiming to break records by selling 600 tickets.

Lidia López, the city’s councillor for commerce, presented the event's poster and encouraged the community to participate, stating, “We want this new edition to be a success in supporting Alinur with a gala that has become established in our city. We are grateful to all the merchants who organise it with great enthusiasm and to the people who come out to support the day, which is subsidised by the Alicante City Council.”

The gala will commence at 19:00 and will feature over a hundred participants from the Carolinas neighbourhood. The programme will include various performances and a significant charity fashion show involving children, organised in collaboration with local businesses and hairdressing services.

Tickets are priced at five euros and can be purchased from local shops. Additionally, contributions can be made through a donation account: ES22 0081 1341 1000 0110 5419. This year, for the first time, businesses from across Alicante will participate, as explained by José Moreno, president of the Pla-Carolinas Merchants Association. He highlighted, “We expect massive participation this year, and we have released 600 tickets for sale. I ask for support to ensure the event is a perfect blend of fashion, culture, and local commerce.”

Funds raised will support the ‘Crecer en Plenitud’ project by Alinur, aimed at children aged 0 to 16. Nuria Coves, a representative of Alinur, explained, “The funds will be directed towards supporting the children we work with from an inclusive perspective, providing psychological support to them and their families. We are very grateful for the continued support.”

Councillor Lidia López praised the commercial sector, noting, “They are an example of solidarity, and the City Council is proud to participate and support the event, helping to unite commerce and the neighbourhood in each edition that continues to grow in participation with this necessary and successful charitable action.”

The fashion show will feature various clothing and accessory shops, as well as hairdressing salons. Notable participants this year include: Modas Óscar, Modas Shankara, Karay Moda, Granate Moda, Sé Tú Collection, Trapitos Moda Joven, L'Attimo Modas, Reme Antón Ceremonias, Peluquería Guil, Peluquería Nuria Trujillo, Peluquería Aida, and Joyería Pío XII.
