Carlos Calero thanks Casa de Aragón in Albacete for promoting cultural exchange

On October 10, 2026, Carlos Calero, a councilman from the local government, expressed gratitude to the Casa de Aragón in Albacete for its significant role in bringing Aragonese culture closer to the residents of Albacete. His remarks came during a festival organized at the Teatro de la Paz as part of the regional house's celebrations in honor of their patron, the Virgen del Pilar.

Calero extended his congratulations on behalf of the City Council to this year's festival announcer, María Pilar Balado, who is an Aragonese, a member of the Casa de Aragón, and a writer. He also welcomed the jota dance group from the Casa de Aragón in Alcalá de Henares, which participated in the festival.

Furthermore, he highlighted the charitable nature of the event, noting that the funds raised would be donated to Cáritas Diocesana de Albacete to support its work with vulnerable individuals. The councilman praised Jesús Lambea, the president of Casa de Aragón, and the board members for organizing a fantastic program of activities that once again blends tradition, folklore, and social commitment.

Calero encouraged participation in one of the festival's key events, the traditional misa baturra and flower offering to the Virgen del Pilar, scheduled to take place at the Parroquia del Espíritu Santo on the 12th of this month.
