Banda Sinfónica Municipal concert opens season with Pedro Piqueras as narrator

Cultural Councillor Elena Serrallé attended the concert 'Ecos de Sombra y Redención: La Divina Comedia' at Teatro Circo, performed by the Banda Sinfónica Municipal. The concert, conducted by Luis Miguel Abello Blanco, featured journalist and communicator Pedro Piqueras as the narrator.

This event marked the opening of the autumn-winter season for the musical ensemble, presenting an engaging proposal that combines narration with music, creating a dialogue between literature and sound. Piqueras, a local figure who was honored by the city as a 'Hijo Predilecto' (Beloved Son), lent his distinctive voice to the performance.

The Banda Sinfónica Municipal's concert series will continue on Sunday, October 18, with a focus on composer José Suñer-Oriola. Following that, on Thursday, November 5, the concert 'Pinturas en la Música' will highlight Johan de Meij, an internationally recognized figure in symphonic band music. An Extraordinary Concert for Santa Cecilia is scheduled for Sunday, November 22, and the season will conclude on Sunday, December 13, with 'Teatro y Destino,' featuring works by Chapí, Verdi, and Tchaikovsky.

Serrallé encouraged citizens to attend these remarkable concerts, emphasizing that the Banda Sinfónica Municipal is a significant cultural asset for the city, elevating Albacete's cultural and musical level.
