Ávila's Town Hall has announced the 29th edition of the Young Creators Competition, which will feature an increased prize pool of €4,000. The competition invites young individuals aged between 14 and 36 to participate across six categories with a total of eleven modalities.
The registration period will commence the day after the publication of the competition rules in the Official Bulletin of the Province and will remain open until 15 November. Applications can be submitted in person at the General Registry of the Town Hall, via the electronic headquarters at sede.avila.es, or through email as specified in the various modalities. Postal submissions can also be sent to the Espacio Joven Alberto Pindado.
Categories and prizes
This year's competition includes categories for narrative, poetry, visual arts, photography, music, and short films. The narrative category will feature three modalities: Short Narrative A for ages 14 to 20 (€100), Short Narrative B for ages 21 to 36 (€250), and Micro-narrative (€100).
In the poetry category, there are two modalities: A for ages 14 to 20 (€100) and B for ages 21 to 36 (€250). The visual arts category will also have two modalities with three prizes: A for ages 14 to 18 (€300) and B for ages 19 to 36, which includes a first prize of €1,000 and a runner-up prize of €550.
The digital photography category will consist of two modalities: A for ages 14 to 18 (€150) and B for ages 19 to 36, which will award two prizes: €250 for the best individual photograph and €300 for the best photographic series. Both the music and short film categories will have a single modality for participants aged 14 to 36, with prizes of €250 and €400, respectively.
