On October 10, 2026, the esteemed musician, composer, and conductor Ramón Torrelledó will perform at the Cathedral of San Antolín in Palencia, offering a musical journey that reflects on his 40 years in the industry. This commemorative concert is organized by the City Council of Palencia and will begin at 8:00 PM with free admission.

The concert will feature two parts: the first will include the Torrelledó40Ensemble string orchestra, while the second will showcase solo cellist Claudia Moro.

Biography

Born into a family of musicians in Castro Urdiales, Ramón Torrelledó was mentored by the renowned conductor Jesús López Cobos, who was his first orchestral conducting teacher. Torrelledó has conducted some of the world’s leading orchestras, and his recordings span a repertoire from Mozart to Shostakovich. He is particularly noted for his work in the genre of Zarzuela, with recordings of many popular pieces.

In addition to his conducting, Torrelledó is committed to music education and often lectures on topics related to art and aesthetics. He also conducts courses and talks for businesses, focusing on high-performance team leadership.
