08/10/2026 The Ayuntamiento de Piélagos has launched a new edition of its Halloween decoration contest, inviting participation from educational institutions, shops, and hospitality businesses within the municipality. Councillor for Culture and Education, Carmen Bedoya, announced that registration will be open from today, October 8, until 14:00 on Wednesday, October 21.
Bedoya emphasized that interested parties must register online by emailing cultura@pielagos.es, providing the name of the participating center or establishment, along with the representative's name, NIF (Tax Identification Number), phone number, and email address.
Prizes and Categories
As in previous editions, the municipality will award three prizes to participating schools in the Halloween decoration contest, consisting of vouchers worth €150, €100, and €50, respectively, to be spent at local establishments. Additionally, the best-decorated pumpkin, a category exclusively for students from local educational centers, will receive a €50 voucher for use in Piélagos businesses.
Bedoya noted that these vouchers must be redeemed by November 30, 2026, the last day for use. In the categories for commercial establishments and hospitality venues, a single prize of €200 will be awarded to each category. Winners must submit their payment requests by November 30, as no claims will be accepted after this date.
The prize-giving ceremony will take place during the Halloween 2026 activities organized by the Department of Festivities.
