‘Nacimiento de Pymes Industriales’ to open applications for industrial center aid

Argamasilla de Alba (Ciudad Real), 2 October 2026 - The Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha will publish a new call for the ‘Nacimiento de Pymes Industriales’ program on Monday, which is allocated six million euros. Applications will open on Tuesday, 6 October, and will remain open until 5 July of the following year.

This announcement was made by the regional Minister of Economy, Companies, and Employment, Patricia Franco, during the 25th anniversary celebration of the Tomelloso-based company Cameto, held at its new facilities along the road connecting the town to Argamasilla de Alba.

Franco congratulated Cameto, which has established itself as a leader in the metalworking and machining sector, employing over fifty workers. She praised the company’s commitment to innovation and internationalization, emphasizing its human and familial philosophy.

Cameto received support from the regional government through the Adelante Inversión program during its relocation to new facilities. Franco noted that only a small fraction of companies in Castilla-La Mancha, about 0.5%, employ more than fifty people, highlighting Cameto’s significance in the region's industrial landscape.

The ‘Nacimiento de Pymes Industriales’ program aims to bolster the industrial capabilities of Castilla-La Mancha by providing direct aid for the establishment of new industrial centers. This includes the creation of new businesses, new work establishments for existing companies, or the relocation of industrial centers from other parts of the country.

This year’s program is a new initiative that complements the recently announced Bono Crecimiento Pyme, which has an investment of nine million euros. Together, these programs represent a total of 15 million euros in direct aid for the regional business sector, part of the broader Plan Adelante, which supports investment, digital transition, innovation, and commercialization for regional SMEs.

Franco stated that the program aims to continue establishing Castilla-La Mancha as a key player in the industrial sector nationwide. The region is currently the leading autonomous community in the central-southern part of Spain in terms of industrial GDP growth, having increased by over 51% since 2015, from 7.587 billion to 11.458 billion euros. Alongside Navarra, it has also led the creation of industrial jobs over the past eleven years, adding 49,100 new industrial jobs since June 2015.

Furthermore, Castilla-La Mancha ranks fifth in Spain for the industrial sector's contribution to GDP, meeting the EU's 20-20 objective, with 20.6% of its GDP derived from industry. This positive trend is reflected in the overall GDP growth, with the National Statistics Institute (INE) recently projecting a 2.8% GDP growth for the region in 2025, surpassing the national average and doubling the EU's average growth last year. This would bring the region's GDP to over 58.450 billion euros by the end of the previous year, representing a growth of more than 20 billion euros since the current government took office, in contrast to a decline of over one billion euros in the prior period.
