The Centro Superior de Hostelería de Galicia (CSHG) has commenced the 2026-2027 academic year with a significant increase in student enrolment. This year, the institution is hosting more than 370 students, which represents a 27% increase from the previous year. Among these, 100 students are beginning their studies in the Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management.
The rise in enrolment is mirrored by a notable increase in the entry score for the degree programme, which has jumped from 5.418 points in the 2025-2026 academic year to 7.273 points this year. This change highlights a growing demand for specialised training in hospitality management.
The CSHG maintains a strong connection with the tourism industry through an integrated internship programme, allowing students to gain practical experience with major international hotel chains such as Meliá Hotels International, Barceló Hotel Group, Iberostar Hotels & Resorts, Hyatt Hotels Corporation, and Marriott International, among others. This partnership not only enhances students' learning experiences but also aids their transition into the job market.
According to data from the centre, employability rates in hotel management exceed 90%. With over 3,000 professionals trained throughout its history, the CSHG continues to be a leading institution in Galicia for preparing new talent in the hospitality and tourism sectors.
