Cultural subscription offers theatre and dance performances for 21 euros in Manzanares

The cultural subscription at the Gran Teatro de Manzanares is set to offer an impressive array of performances in November, allowing attendees to enjoy four shows for only 21 euros. This package includes three theatrical productions—'Gool', 'Burladas', and 'El barbero de Picasso'—as well as a dance performance titled 'Danzas solemnes'.

In addition to these events, the theatre will host a concert celebrating the 25th anniversary of the 'Mansil Nahar' choir, the XXV national bands meeting 'Daniel González Mellado', and an exhibition by the 'Manzanares' Photographic Association. Five films will also be screened throughout the month.

One of the key attractions of this cultural initiative by the local council is the opportunity to experience high-quality performances at an affordable price without leaving Manzanares. The cultural subscription represents significant savings compared to purchasing individual tickets, which would cost 38 euros in advance and 46 euros at the door.

The cultural programme kicks off on Friday 6 November at 20:00 with 'Danzas solemnes' from the 'Cristina Cazorla' company. The comedy 'Gool', a satirical take on football by Yllana, will return to the Gran Teatro on Saturday 21 November at 20:00. Following that, 'Burladas', a play by Esther Berzal, will be performed on Thursday 26 November at 20:00, exploring what might happen if the women from Don Juan could step out of the pages and share their stories. Finally, the humorous 'El barbero de Picasso', featuring Pepe Viyuela as Picasso and Antonio Molero as barber Eugenio Arias, is scheduled for Saturday 28 November at 20:00.

The cultural subscription will be available for purchase until 4 November at the Gran Teatro box office and on the Globalentradas website.

Additionally, 'Manzanares en Escena' will present three more cultural offerings at the Gran Teatro in November. On Sunday 8 November at 19:30, the 'Mansil Nahar' choir will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a concert. The XXV national bands meeting 'Daniel González-Mellado' will take place over two days: Saturday 14 November at 20:30, featuring performances from the Asociación Musical Moteña and the Societat Musical L'Artística Manisense, and Sunday 15 November at 19:00, with the host band, AMC 'Julián Sánchez-Maroto'. On Wednesday 18 November, the 'Manzanares' Photographic Association will inaugurate the exhibition 'Panorámicas', which will be on display in the hall until 20 December.

Film will also play a significant role in November's programming at the Gran Teatro. On Sunday 1 and Monday 2 November at 18:15, the final films of the 'Semana del Cine Español' cycle will be screened, including 'La bola negra' by Los Javis and 'El ser querido' by Rodrigo Sorogoyen, both of which have been shortlisted for the Oscars. On Tuesday 10 November at 20:15, there will be an auteur film screening of 'Ceniza en la boca'. The film schedule continues with 'La invitación' on Thursday 19 November and 'Tiempos de ilusión' on Friday 20 November, both at 20:15. Tickets for these screenings are priced at 5 euros each and can be purchased at the Gran Teatro box office one hour before the show starts and on the Globalentradas portal.
