Cementerio de San Froilán to host theatrical visit featuring the Pelúdez family

The Municipal Cemetery of San Froilán will resume its cultural programming this Sunday, October 11, with a new theatrical visit led by the Achádego theater group, featuring the Pelúdez family.

Titled "Familia Pelúdez: visiting the cemetery with the most endearing family of San Froilán," the activity will provide an opportunity to explore the cemetery alongside Pelúdez, Filomena, Peludeciño, Vanesa, and the "Piriodista." They will visit friends from the past who are buried in the cemetery, as well as characters linked to the history of the San Froilán festivities.

The performance will also highlight Pelúdez's connection to Lucense journalism, a character created for the local newspaper El Progreso, brought to life by various journalists over the years. Currently, Xosé de Cora Paradela has voiced the character since 1995.

During the visit, attendees will also meet two characters associated with the cemetery: a motorcyclist who participated in the San Froilán motorcycle races and a pulpera (a traditional octopus seller).
