The Casa de la Cultura auditorium in Burela is set to host the premiere of the documentary Palestine, a permanent tragedy on 15 October 2026 at 19:30. Directed by filmmaker and writer Javier Díez Moro, the event is organised by the Foro Social de la Mariña in collaboration with the Concello de Burela.
The screening aims to promote awareness and reflection on the situation of the Palestinian people from a historical perspective and in defence of human rights. The documentary explores the history of Palestine, focusing particularly on events from October 2023 to the present day. It utilises archival footage, testimonies, and contributions from experts to provide insights into the historical context and current situation.
Following the screening, there will be a discussion with Javier Díez Moro, allowing attendees to delve deeper into the themes presented in the documentary and engage in a dialogue about the issues raised. The Concello of Burela encourages local residents to participate in this event, which seeks to foster critical thinking, dialogue, and awareness regarding human rights and respect for international law.
