Alicante approves bono comercio 2026 programme with €4 million investment

The Alicante City Council has approved the regulations for the bono comercio 2026 programme, which will allocate €3,978,152 to support local businesses. The programme will run from 26 October to 26 November, allowing residents to purchase vouchers worth up to €400, with half of the cost subsidised by the council.

This initiative, backed by the Provincial Council and the Alicante City Council, aims to boost local shopping, help households cope with inflation, and promote economic recovery in the commercial sector. The 2026 campaign will feature three types of vouchers:

  • Bono Senior: With a budget of €300,000, this voucher will be available for purchase in person for those aged over 65 from 26 to 30 October, at the Municipal Consumer Centre (CERCA) and various social centres.
  • Bono Joven: Targeted at individuals under 30, this voucher will be available online from 28 to 30 October, with a total of €200,000 allocated.
  • Bono General: For the rest of the population, this voucher will be available online from 2 to 6 November, with a budget of €1,489,076, which may include any remaining funds from the senior and youth vouchers.

Lidia López, the Councillor for Commerce, stated, “The bono comercio programme subsidises 50% of the purchase price, with individuals able to access a maximum of €400, paying only €200.”

The agreement also includes a collaboration between the Alicante Chamber of Commerce and the City Council for the programme's management. The vouchers will be nominative and linked to the purchaser's National Identity Document, valid until 26 November.

To purchase the vouchers, individuals must be over 18, registered in Alicante, and pay online via bank card. Vouchers can be bought in denominations of €20, €50, €100, and €200, and each voucher can only be used in a single transaction.

More than 600 participating establishments can be found on the bono comercio 2026 website, with registration for merchants remaining open until the end of the campaign.
