The Municipal Auditorium will host the 42nd edition of the Amateur Theatre Showcase from 15 to 25 October, organised by the ‘El Carmen’ Neighbourhood Association. This year, the showcase will present a total of seven performances, all of which will be free to attend, subject to capacity limits, and will commence at 20:00.
The event was announced this morning by Culture Councillor Rosa Fernández, who was joined by Margarita Martínez and Antonio Pujades, representatives of the ‘El Carmen’ Neighbourhood Association. During her speech, Councillor Fernández expressed her gratitude to the association for their “work, dedication, and commitment to making this showcase possible” and extended her appreciation to all the cultural and recreational activities they organise each year to enliven their neighbourhood and the city of Logroño.
Fernández emphasised the value of this initiative, stating that it “has established itself as an excellent platform for the many theatre enthusiasts in the city to showcase their considerable talent.” She added that the showcase also provides an opportunity for audiences to enjoy a diverse, high-quality, and free programme featuring a variety of theatrical proposals. She expressed confidence that the event would once again receive a positive response from the public, filling the Municipal Auditorium.
The seven scheduled performances will take place at 20:00 in the Municipal Auditorium, with free entry until capacity is reached. The programme includes:
- 15 October: ‘Socaire’ by Ateneo Teatro de Logroño.
- 16 October: ‘La increíble historia de La Rioja’ by Cómicos Inestables del Norte.
- 17 October: ‘La venganza de Don Mendo’ by Teatro Pobre IES La Laboral.
- 18 October: ‘Las Asambleístas’ by TECU.
- 23 October: ‘Furiosas’ by Asociación Escenario Vacío.
- 24 October: ‘Arsénico por compasión’ by K-ndilejas Logroño.
- 25 October: ‘La muerte y la doncella’ by La Garnacha Teatro.
